About this deal

The Necron dynasties care not for the squabbles of lesser races – but they are keen to plunder the Arks of Omen, on the off-chance they may recover ancient heirlooms thought lost to time. The Adepta Sororitas Combat Patrol Box is weird: There’s 1 Penitent Engine instead of the two that usually come in a box, 4 Sisters Repentia and 1 Repentia Superior rather than the 9 and a Superior you usually get, 3 Arco-Flagellants rather than the usual 9 and… you get the picture. This is all because most of the stuff in the box was originally part of the Adepta Sororitas limited army set, and is thus placed on the same sprues rather than being the actual multipart plastic kits, so you shouldn’t buy this box if you have a specific 2000 points competitive list in mind. The Warhammer Community team has come up with a few of our own sample lists to see what’s possible.

This is actually a fairly decent box because non of the value is used up in special characters, meaning you just get a bunch of minis! Tyranids Boarding Patrol Box Because this box does have Castellan Crowe you probably just want one copy. Still, if you’re looking to start this is a great box as you’ll get the ability to build in many different directions. Just plan your list out all the way before you commit to a particular Grey Knight unit type. However, if you already have all the warriors you need, it’s not really going to do much for you. That’s basically what it comes down to for this box, if you want Warriors, get it. If not, you may want to pass on this one. Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Box The Emperor’s finest are the prime bulwark against Abaddon’s nefarious schemes, and this Boarding Patrol is typical of their brutal efficiency in such matters. You’ll be able to face any foe with a highly customisable Primaris Captain in Gravis armour, five Heavy Intercessors, and 10 Assault Intercessors.Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus and Codex: Necrons are both on the immediate horizon, and each brings a new Combat Patrol box of cold-hearted logisticians who want nothing more than to snuff out biological life with their superior technology.

This set comes with three Tyranid Warriors which can be tweaked to match the various foes you might face in your boarding actions. There are then eight Genestealers (a squad of give in-game) that you can sneak through shadowy halls, ready to lunge at unsuspecting troops. Finishing things off, there is also the murderous Broodlord who is a proper killing machine. Few things are as terrifying in a confined space as a Phoenix Lord. Jain Zar leads Boarding Patrol: Aeldari accompanied by five Howling Banshees, as well as 20 Corsair Voidscarred who can be assembled as any one of two different units. The Death Guard box is interesting, because it’s a really low relative value, but it actually has some good stuff in it. Normally Death Guard boxes are filled with Poxwalkers, and though I do like Poxwalkers, this is better. But it’s low value. With the caveat that to actually save money with these boxes, you have to need every model in the box (which I think will hurt the Grey Knights because of Castellan Crowe–if you want him, you probably already have him.), all of these Boarding Patrol boxes are very good value. The (tweaked) Agents of the Imperium ability allows Navy Breachers to join up with any IMPERIUM Boarding Patrol – appropriate, as it’s their job – and means they won’t even disrupt the Chapter playbook. Finally, the Death Guard heed Abaddon’s call, with an obdurate if slimy Boarding Patrol led by a Lord of Virulence. He’s joined by a bodyguard of three Deathshroud Terminators, as well as 10 versatile Plague Marines – three of which are taken from the much-sought-after Plague Marine Reinforcements set. Embark on a journey through the cosmos with the Boarding Patrol: Necrons, a formidable force in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Necrons, known for their ancient origins and fearsome abilities, are a sight to behold with their living metal bodies and cosmic weaponry. Their unique power to teleport aboard enemy vessels makes them a relentless force against any civilization. This is another meat-and-potatoes box. Nothing fancy here just the basics. That’s not a bad thing! The Necrons can get the job done without getting super flashy. In a Boarding Action game, this box can do work. Lychguard shine in cramped spaces while the warriors take objectives and lay down decent firepower. The Ophydian Destroyers are plenty fast, too.
